I'm sure I'm not the only one that keeps thinking about all the plans they'd made for 2020. And now as we come to the end of lockdown in the UK, we are told of local lockdowns that are due to start straight after! As anxiety-inducing, frustrating and sad (with the loss of a loved one) a time it has been, I am grateful for the virtual connections and re-connections I've made. I hope you're managing to keep in touch with loved ones and your local community somehow.
Yorkshire Yarn Fest
So to see 2020 off we have a few virtual yarn events lined up with Yorkshire Yarn Fest tomorrow! Yes, this was going to be a real life show and so we would have been heading to York. Instead, you'll find a whole host of vendors over at the Yorkshire Yarn Fest Instagram account showing you our wares. You can catch me there at 11:05 am GMT. Feel free to let me know if there's anything you'd like to see close up. Or perhaps you want a little help picking out colours for that special project!
A few of us have dyed up a special charity "Fireworks" colourway this month. I loved dyeing up my contribution. It will go live at 10 am GMT along with all of the new yarns. £5 from the sale of each of these skeins will be going to a local food bank, to try and ease the condition of those that are facing difficulties this winter. It will be available on Merino Nylon, DK, BFL and Sparkle! If the ready-to-ship skeins sell out, they will be available as pre-orders.
There is a lot more going into the update, so do come along and see for yourself. I might show you my latest finished project. I might also show you what I'm making with my skein of Fireworks. Yes of course, I get to snag things before they go live!
Virt-Yule Fibre Collective
The Virt-Yule Fibre Collective Event will also be kicking off on Monday 30th November, 2020. You can find all of the vendors taking part over on the Facebook group, with all of their offers and chatter too! You will be able to access the group on Monday. So stay tuned for more yarn show fun to end 2020 with a bang!
December Wanderlust Mystery Yarn Club
December's Mystery Yarn Club slots will also go live in tomorrow's update! And for this month, we're looking towards Europe. Listings will stay open for a week.
