The (Virtual) Wool Monty!

Posted by Ishrat Khawja on

Unfortunately we can’t be at The Wool Monty this weekend … but the (Virtual) Wool Monty is on!!! So many fabulous vendors will be updating their online shops on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th June, 2020 … and so will I! There will be special offers and all sorts of contributions from everyone. I can’t wait to check it out myself!

To “attend” the show:

Join the (Virtual) Wool Monty Facebook page

Or

Follow #MontyAtHome on Instagram

The shop update is scheduled from 10 am BST on Saturday but I will be popping in here and there on both platforms.

One of the things that I’ll be telling you more about (in an Instagram live) is the All Together Sweater Kit Pre-Order!

It’s a kit that I created for the lovely All Together sweater by Joji Locatelli. The pattern is a FREE Ravelry download and you can read the beautiful sentiment behind it there too. There will be 10% off over this weekend ONLY. Hey, since I really want to cast it on, maybe we can even do a knit along over on the Ravelry group!

As well as the pre-order kit, there will be plenty of ready to ship colourways and some new ones too!

But on a more serious note, It might seem strange that I’m getting excited about a virtual yarn show and new colourways when there has been so much grief, around the world, recently. I’ve typed things and then deleted, re-typed and deleted again, so many times. But, I choose to remain fairly quiet, because I feel that it is not my voice that needs to be heard right now. I have been reading, watching and listening to a number of resources to enlighten myself and to educate and discuss issues with my family. In all honesty, it has left me shocked and confused, at how much has already taken place due to racism. But, as we have done in the past, we shall remain positive and keep striving.

Wishing you all a good weekend!
